Bye Bye Vonzie, Hello Finals

AI down to the final two.

The American Idol season finale looks like it might be a little bit country, and a little bit rock and roll as Bo Bice and Carrie Underwood go head to head for the A.I. title.

After what was one of the most dramatic seasons to date, this finale promises to be a nail bitter. While Carries' southern charm seems to have worked its magic on America, Bo is still heavily favored to win the competition.

The rocker from Alabama gave three great performances Tuesday, including "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me," a song chosen for him by music legend Clive Davis. The performance prompted Dog Pound founder and president Randy Jackson to grant Bice lifetime membership to the prestigious club.

Carrie showcased her musical chops singing a haunting rendition of "Crying," also chosen by Davis. While Vonzell Soloman aka Baby V gave three great performances, including a flawless version of the Donna Summer classic "On the Radio," it was not enough to bring her into the finals. The charming songbird with the megawatt smile bid a teary farewell to the show Wednesday, ending her run with a hug and kiss on the cheek from Simon Cowell.

As for the final showdown next week, tune in to see if country girl Carrie can outsing the seemingly unstoppable Bo Bice.
