Calm Down, Miley Cyrus Isn't Dead

The whole her being dead thing was just an Internet hoax.

Teen fans never fear, 15-year-old Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus is in fact still alive, reports eFlux.

In fact, her attendance at the premiere of her new movie, Bolt, as well as a recent interview for The Ellen DeGeneres Show can prove it.

"I'm breathing, check my pulse. I'm good," Miley reportedly joked with the talk show host instead of freaking out about the rumors. That's because, unfortunately, she's used to them.

What's not so funny is that her family has to deal with the rumors.

She said, "My mom was at breakfast actually with one of her girlfriends and someone pulled her out and said, 'So we hear Miley's dead,' and my mom was like, 'Yeah, I'm just having breakfast with my friend over here just eating and, by the way, my child's dead.' . . . Yeah, it's dumb. Everyone was freaking out but I'm alive."

The Internet was abuzz recently about the star's death after Cyrus's YouTube account that is shared with her friend, Mandy Jiroux, posted a video delivering a false report about Cyrus meeting an untimely death.

According to the video, "Miley died this morning after being hit by a drunk driver. She always told us if anything ever happened to her then tell her loyal fans first before the public. R.I.P. Miley, we'll never forget you!"

Reportedly, Jiroux was being blamed for the video, but she told E! News that it was a hacker who posted the video, not her.

Prank or not, this wasn't funny to Cyrus's fans, who were genuinely worried about the beloved star, and it's not the first time the teen has had Internet problems. Recently, the FBI raided the apartment of a teen hacker who posted pictures of the underage actress half dressed.

So note to Miley Cyrus: Stay offline for a while, will ya?
