Cam Gigandet lands lead role on new Western pilot

Cam Gigandet heads from the silver screen to the small screen in Gateway, a new Western drama pilot for TNT. The show is set in Colorado in the 1880s.

Gigandet plays Jake Flynn, one of three brothers who must save their hometown when their father, the sheriff, is murdered, reports Deadline.

When a “corrupt cattle baron” kills their father with intent of taking over the town, Jake is forced to discover the hero within himself. He leads his brothers to justice and they protect the town of Gateway, Colorado.

Flynn is a “young, untamed hard-living cowboy who embodies the Wild West,” the Hollywood Reporter reveals of Gigandet’s character.

If the series is picked up and added to TNT’s drama lineup, it will be Gigandet’s first television project in nearly four years.
