Cameron working on two 'Avatar' sequels

Director James Cameron is currently writing two sequels to his hit film Avatar(2009).

Cameron revealed that we’ll see more of the world of Pandora in the upcoming first sequel, specifically its oceans.

"We will see the oceans of Pandora, which we haven't seen at all," he said. "That's an ecosystem that I'm dying to start designing because it's going to look spectacular. But also, again, now it narrows the spotlight instead of just nature in general or the rainforest. It focuses it a little more on ocean issues.”

The sequel, however, won’t be as environment-minded as the first film, which is currently the biggest money-making film of all time. The next film will also focus on other worlds besides Pandora.

Cameron plans to shoot the first sequel at 60 frames per second, as opposed to the industry standard of 24 frames per second.

Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 are expected for release in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
