'Camp Rock 2' will begin shooting this summer
Disney's 'Camp Rock 2' takes on a Shakespearean angle.
Production for the Camp Rock sequel will begin this summer and premier next year on the Disney Channel.
According to MTV.com, American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi will be one of the writers working on the film's soundtrack. The soundtrack will consist of a "mix of pop, rock, R&B and hip-hop songs."
In the sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, musical enthusiasts return to Camp Rock and find out that a new camp, Camp Star, has been set up across the lake. This ignites competition between the two camps to prove which is best.
Besides the competition between the two camps, a Shakespearean tale ensues when Nick Jonas's character, Nate, falls for Camp Star's owner's daughter. Chloe Bridges will play Nick Jonas's love interest, Dana Turner.
