Caroline Giuliani was arrested Wednesday while trying to shoplift cosmetics from Sephora skincare and makeup store. Giuliani was allegedly caught by security cameras trying to steal five cosmetic items totaling over $100, according to ABC News.
Giuliani was taken into custody at a branch of the cosmetics store near her home on the East Side of Manhattan. Giuliani shares a home with her mother Donna Hanover, a former newscaster who divorced Rudy Giuliani in 2002.
Police said that charges have yet to be filed against the daughter of the former presidential candidate. She is currently being held and is expected to be charged with petit larceny and released. Giuliani will have to appear before a judge at a later date.
Giuliani is currently a student at Harvard University and has been estranged from her father since his separation from Hanover.
