Carradine Family Takes Action to Examine Actor's Body
After "Kill Bill" star David Carradine's body was found hanging in his hotel room in Bangkok's Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel last Thursday, the actor's family has requested that the FBI help investigate the mystery of the death, reported The Washington Post.
The family has also expressed its disgust after photos of Carradine's body found their way into a Thai newspaper, according to BBC News.
Carradine's half-brother, Keith Carradine, threatened to take legal action and sue against invasion of privacy, reported BBC News.
The images showed the actor's body in the hotel room where he was reportedly found without clothes, hanging in a closet with a cord tied around his neck.
While Thai police have proposed a potential suicide, the family believes otherwise.
The family will seek a private autopsy by well-known forensics specialist, Dr. Michael Baden, to confirm whether or not another party may have been involved in the death, according to the Associated Press. Laura Eimiller, a FBI spokeswoman, stated that the Carradine family had in fact contacted the agency, reported the Associated Press.
Due to lack of and inconsistent information by the Thai police, the family decided to take matters into their own hands, according to the Associated Press.
The results of the autopsy that was taken in Bangkok the day after the death are not expected at least for another three weeks.
