Princess Leia strikes back at Capt. Kirk

Princess Leia has struck back at Capt. Kirk’s claims that his sci-fi franchise is better than hers.

William Shatner, who played Kirk on Star Trek, stated that Trek was superior to Star Wars.

"Star Trek had relationships and conflict among the relationships and stories that involved humanity and philosophical questions that were dramatized; Star Wars was special effects,” he said in September.

Now, Carrie Fisher, who played Leia in the original Wars trilogy, is shooting back.
“They’re not in the same league,” the actress behind Princess Leia stated on a YouTube video. “I mean, they have the word ‘star’ in the title, and there’s space travel, right? Where did they go to? Klingon? It just sounds like a laundry detergent.”

She added Leia’s famous bun hairdo in the original 1977 film is better than the ears worn by Leonard Nimoy’s Spock. Fisher also brought politics into the matter by stating that former vice president Dick Cheney is a Trek fan.

Fisher also claimed that Shatner once barrowed the famous metal bikini she wore in Return of the Jedi(1983).

Shatner reportedly asked his fans if he should respond to Fisher’s claims.

“So, here’s the thing. If you see Bill Shatner, call him Han Solo,” she said.
