Carrie Prejean appears on Larry King Live
Shortly after losing her crown due to "contract violations," ex-Miss California Carrie Prejean appeared on the "Larry King Live" show to talk about the lack of support she received from the pageant director, and her feelings about why she was fired.
CNN.com posted segments of the interview, in which Miss Prejean said that the pageant director did not even call her to inform her of her dismissal, and that she learned about it from the media. When asked by Larry King about the charges laid against her by the director, Keith Lewis, Ms Prejean said that since politics and religion have no place in the Miss California pageant, she did not understand why she was asked about gay marriage.
Prejean insinuated that the real reason she was fired was because Mr. Lewis did not like her response to that question, where she said she believed that marriage was between a man and a woman.
