Casey Affleck On Board for Joaquin "The Rapper" Documentary
Joaquin Phoenix is a rapper. Seriously, ask Casey Affleck, the new director of a documentary based on the new rapper's career.
Phoenix shocked the acting world when he put a sudden halt to his prosperous career as an actor, which earned him an Oscar nomination, to follow the path of a musician. He further surprised the world after revealing the music genre he'll be pursuing: rap.
Now, according to Reuters, close friend Casey Affleck will follow his brother-in-law's musical career and make a documentary out of it. Affleck will start the shooting of his project on Friday, when Phoenix makes his first appearance as a musician in Las Vegas.
Affleck, who's following the path of his older brother, Ben, by jumping behind the cameras, is known for his participation in movies like Gone Baby Gone and The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
While Affleck works on his new film, Phoenix will be providing the entertainment as he will soon release an album produced by the one and only Sean "Diddy" Combs.
One question remains, will Diddy be for Phoenix what Dre was for Marshall? Only Affleck will have proof after he finishes his documentary.
