Although a majority of the viewers who followed Casey Anthony’s trial were not pleased with the final verdict, there are a few who have supported Anthony from the beginning…and they're helping her bank account as well.
According to ABC News, admirers have been sending Anthony checks in the mail so that she can afford snacks and cosmetics while in jail.
Orange County Corrections Department jailhouse records prove that at least 17 people have sent payment orders to Anthony since May.
As of Thursday, Anthony earned $472.18, whereas the average inmate’s account balance is usually $36.30. With the donated money, Anthony bought deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, hair ties, eyeliner, premium chicken breasts, spicy peanuts and jalapeno nacho cheese dip.
Although most of her supporters are men, many women have shown their sympathy for Anthony as well.
"I do not know Casey personally, nor am I supporting her as a person, nor am I anything like the people sending her love letters and asking her to marry them," a male donor in his twenties said. "However, what I am supporting is the jury's decision to acquit based on lack of evidence failing to overcome the reasonable doubt standard."
Another donor offered Anthony a place to stay when she leaves jail on Sunday.
"If she ever did contact me and wanted to live in the middle of nowhere I have three houses out here....I'm scared for her," Gary Bradfield said.
Apparently, Anthony needs the money. People says Anthony is being sued by Texas Equusearch for more than $100,000 to recoup the money they spent searching for her daughter, Caylee Anthony.
