The cast of the Jersey Shore reality show wants more money for the series' third season, according to the New Jersey Star-Ledger. MTV had given the cast until Friday, July 16th to negotiate new deals, but the shows stars are “dissatisfied” with their previous contracts of only $10,000 an episode.
As of Friday, no new deals were made and MTV is keeping the original contracts in force. The cast has been ordered to work Monday, or else it can go legal. JWoww, Ronnie, Sammie, Pauly D., and Vinny have said they are not shooting without new contracts. As for Snooki and Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, they may be holding out as well.
The Situation could even be in negotiations for his fourth season and there are claims he could be working out a deal with MTV for $27,000 to $45,000 per episode, up from his $10,000 per episode for season two.
The cast headed to Miami last spring for the show’s second season, which is scheduled to kick off July 29th on MTV.
