Casting News for Four Big-Time TV Shows

This is just in time for the new TV season, which is in process for some shows already, including one listed.

EW.com's Michael Ausiello hit the jackpot this past Friday, scooping four big casting stories for four highly-regarded TV shows.

So we'll just go down the list and let you know what they are. If you don't want to know, for some reason, then stop reading right now.

Supernatural has cast Robert Wisdom, who appeared on The Wire, to play the recurring role of Uriel, who is described as an intimidating, dangerous, aloof, imperious, contemptuous, humorless killer, by Ausiello.

House has added Samantha Shelton to their cast to play a fitness guru who contracts an interesting illness in November.

Wallace Shawn (who says "inconceivable" throughout The Princess Bride and who also appeared in Clueless) has joined Gossip Girl to play Serena's new boyriend's father, named Cyrus. If the show's writers follow the famous Gossip Girl books, then Cyrus will marry Eleanor, Blair's mother, down the line.

Finally, Martin Mull will appear on Law & Order: SVU as a doctor. This will likely be one week that "Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay had the week off," according to Ausiello.
