Casting for the Next X-Men Film is Underway

Two More Stars are Rumored to be in Next Film

X Men First Class, which is expected to be released in 2011 is not a continuation of the X-Men: The Last Stand, but a prequel that follows the main characters in the X-Men world when they were students at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.

Michael Fassbender, who played Lt. Archie Hicox in last year’s Inglourious Basterds, has been offered roles in two Marvel comic book films. Fassbender has been offered to play a young Magneto, and the casting directors of the Spider-Man reboot also want him in their film. They are both filming at the same time, so Fassbender will have to choose between the two super powered films.

The other rumored member of First Class is Rosamund Pike, who starred alongside Bruce Willis in Surrogates, which was also based off of a comic book. She may play the morally grey psychic, Emma Frost. James McAvoy is already cast to play a young Charles Xavier.
