Catherine Zeta-Jones tries to quit smoking after dealing with husband’s illness

By Pooja Shah,

Actress and singer Catherine Zeta- Jones, 41, along with Michael Douglas, 66, was caught smoking even after her husband was allegedly fighting throat cancer seven months ago.

Now that Douglas has won his difficult battle, Catherine is trying to quit smoking with electronic cigarettes, according to OK! Magazine. Even if he has survived the cancer, there is still a fair chance that it can come back.

Douglas’s medical condition was also harmed by drinking.

Even if her husband hasn’t given it up completely, Catherine is making an effort and using SmokeStik electronic cigarettes (which she has been using for three months) after being gifted it by the brand in support of her no-smoking endeavor.

The couple was spotted outside of a Tetou restaurant in Golfe Juan, France where the actress smoked the tobacco-less product.

“You can see the black band and the red light at the tip,” a SmokeStik rep explained, “SmokeStik gifted them to her [Catherine] directly.”

Hopefully many other celebrities and smokers follow Catherine’s lead and choose the healthier nicotine-less alternative.
