Cause of Ledger's Death Still Not Known

The reason behind Heath Ledger's untimely death is still unknown according to Fox. An autopsy of his body was done in New York Wednesday morning after. The results were inconclusive. A spokeswoman for the New York City Medical Examiner's Office said it is going to take approximately 10 days to finish the investigation completely.

The actor was a 28-year-old native of Australia. Actress Michelle Williams, his ex-fiancee, was flying from Sweden to New York with his 2-year-old daughter, Matilda when his death was reported.

The New York Police Department claims there were no signs of suicide or foul play. The cops are still looking into the possibility of an overdose. Although prescription sleeping pills were found in the apartment, the drug in his system and the exact cause of death is still unknown.

Ledger was found dead, face-down and naked at the foot of his bed at his apartment in downtown Manhattan. His housekeeper found his body.
