CBS Orders More Primetime "Price," Returns "Shark"
CBS has scheduled the return of legal drama Shark, and ordered four more prime time Price Is Right episodes. The network is also moving the long-running game show to a much more competitive time slot, according to TheHollywoodReporter.com.
The Price Is Right prime-time version will run on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. during May sweeps, which means that the show will return on April 30.
This new time slot is full of unscripted programming competition from the other major networks. The shows competing with Price Is Right for ratings will be ABC's Wife Swap, Fox's Moment of Truth and NBC's hit, Deal or No Deal.
CBS also announced Monday that Shark, featuring James Woods, will return in a new time period. The legal drama will return on Tuesday, April 29, with four original episodes to wrap its second season. This takes the show from Sunday nights to Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
The fate of Shark is still up in the air, so it is without question that network executives will closely monitor its performance in the new timeslot to answer if it will return for a third season.
