CBS to show more episodes on the internet

CBS plans to show its most popular shows on the internet the morning after the air on television

CBS plans to make an ever bigger splash in internet television this fall with a plan to show their shows for free on its broadband channel the morning after the show debuts on the network.

Epsidoes of the "CSI" series, "Jericho," "Numbers," "NCIS" and "Survivor," will be available on the channel, Innertube the morning following their television newscast, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

"Our belief all along is that all this is additive and doesn't cannibalize the network television," Larry Kramer, president of CBS Digital Media told the Reporter. "We know there's an audience out there that will watch it and not be turned away by the advertising."

"CSI," "NCIS," and "Numbers" will be available for viewing for three weeks after they debut, according to the Reporter. "Jericho," and "Survivor" will be available on the internet channel all year long.

"Research has shown that most viewing online occurs right after the show airs," Kramer said. "In the case of shows coming back, we felt a month's worth of shows was appropriate, but on the other hand we wanted to see if people would go back during a longer time period and watch a show."
