Celebrities Named as Connected to Steroids Raid

A number of celebrities were named in connection with baseball's ongoing steroid investigation.

After the news of steroid use in Major League Baseball players, Albany District Attorney P. David Soares began an investigation to see just how far the steroid use and sale had spread.

Steroid trafficking, illegal in the U.S., has led to some of Hollywood's hottest personas. Citing unidentified law enforcement officials, the Times Union of Albany released the names of a few celebrities being investigated in connection to the steroid investigation. Names include singer Mary J. Blige, rappers 50 Cent, Timbaland and Wycleff Jean and producer/author Tyler Perry. The only celebrity spokesperson to speak up so far was Mary J. Blige's, which denied the singer's connection to steroids or steroid use. A spokesperson for the Albany DA stated that the DA is "not confirming, denying, or discussing any of the names."
