Celebrity Birthdays, October 20

By Deborah Kim,

Happy birthday to Viggo Mortensen, Snoop Dogg, John Krasinski and Gillian Jacobs!

Viggo Mortensen, 53
Viggo Mortensen made women around the world swoon as Aragorn in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but before he reached full fame he had a pretty interesting life. Not only has he lived in South Africa, Argentina and New York, he's also published a book called Ten Last Night, can paint murals and is a jazz musician. He's also pretty badass. While filming The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers , he broke his tooth and asked crew members to glue it back together so he could finish the scene. He can next be seen in On the Road with Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst.

Snoop Dogg, 40
Snoop Dogg is undoubtedly one of the biggest rappers on the planet, but he's also got a huge passion for football. He has his own Pop Warner football team and is a huge USC football fan. The dogfather was recently in the press when his sitcom was picked up by NBC earlier this month. Will you be tuning in?

John Krasinski, 32
The Office star makes millions laugh every Wednesday on NBC, but when he's not on the show he's starring in movies like Away We Go, It's Complicated and Something Borrowed. He was also able to land one of the hottest women in Hollywood, Emily Blunt. Krasinski will be continuing his big screen run with roles in The Muppets, Big Miracle with Drew Barrymore and Nobody Walks with Dylan McDermott.

Gillian Jacobs, 29
Gillian Jacobs plays saucy, outspoken Britta Perry on NBC's Community, but who knew she was a theater nerd. When she was younger, she starred in plays at the Pittsburgh Public Theater and competed in its annual Shakespeare Monologue Contest. Then she went to Juilliard to study acting and made her New York stage debut in Cagelove in 2006, where the New York Times said she "has the glow of a star in the making." Aside from Community, Jacobs can next be seen in Revenge for Jolly! alongside Elijah Wood and Seeking a Friend for the End of the World with Keira Knightley and Steve Carell.
