The Super Bowl offered plenty of action on the field and on the Web this Sunday, stirring up all kinds of celebrity activity on Twitter. Stars tweeted about everything from can’t miss commercials to half-time performances, but a special few tweets stood out amongst a sea of #superbowl trending topics and tiny football images.

A few celebrities shared their Super Bowl confessions throughout the game, Mindy Kaling admitting, “It feels weird that there’s not an E red carpet Super Bowl pre-show.” Kendra Wilkinson figured out a way to fight Super Bowl weight gain, writing, “happy superbowl everyone..just got a great workout in so I can eat some chips lol! Go Aaron Rodgers!!!”

Ryan Seacrest attended the game Sunday evening, but found his thoughts drifting away from the game and on to more serious issues. The host tweeted, “I spent most of yesterday debating whether I should put my peanut shells on the floor of new stadium at the #Super Bowl. #notkidding”

Some stars couldn’t help but advertise their advertisements on their Twitter accounts, posting multiple tweets promoting various commercials.

The Kardashian gang blasted their followers with warnings for Kim’s upcoming commercial spot. Kim tweeted, “Its 4th quarter...my superbowl commercial airs right near the 2 minute warning!!! Yay!” After the ad aired, she repeated the catchphrase, typing, “OMG bye bye trainer…HELLO SHAPE-UPS!!!! What did u guys think of the commercial?”

Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian didn’t miss a beat sharing their opinions on the ad, Kris tweeting, “@KimKardashian superbowl commercial for @SKECHERSUSA comes on 2 minute warning second half! Enjoy twitterdolls! LOVES IT!!!” Khloe bragged, “Wow @KimKardashian looks so amazing in her shape up ads! I am so proud of her! Show them how its done baby!”

Justin Bieber replugged his Super Bowl spot, sharing a tweet and video link saying, “2min to go…sick game. Just gotta say that @OfficialOzzy is the man. So funny-http://youtu.be/6xBPReyPx10”

What prompted celebrities to tweet the most? Not surprisingly, the football game took a backseat to performances in the eyes of the stars. Zooey Deschanel praised Christina Aguilera’s National Anthem attempt, tweeting, “congrats to Xtina A. 4 breaking the record of most vocal riffs added to the nat’l anthem, she had to cut a few words but it was worth it!”

E! Host Giuliana Rancic passed along an Aguilera statement, tweeting, “Xtina says “I got so caught up in the moment of the song that I lost my place…I hope true spirit of anthem still came thru”. Thoughts?”

The Black Eyed Peas’ halftime performance show garnered mixed reviews from their famous peers, receiving both excessive praise and some sly digs. Kim Kardashian tweeted, “Wow Black Eyed Peas killed it!!! Fergie looks sooo gorge!” Kris Jenner echoed this sentiment, writing, “Amazing!! Black Eyed Peas, Slash and Usher…BEEEEEYOND!!!! @IamWill you nailed it!” The pair’s over-the-top praise prompted hoards of followers to ask, “Are we watching the same show?”

Joseph Gordon-Levitt attempted to remain positive on the subject, tweeting, “In a stadium setting, spectacular pageantry comes through more clearly than, y’know songs. Which was to Black Eyed Peas’ advantage #sb45”

A few celebrities extended their congratulations to the Packers and even a few lucky fans. Jimmy Fallon tweeted, “Congratulations Packers fans and whoever won the football pool.” Ellen DeGeneres foreshadowed a post-Super Bowl appearance on her Twitter account, writing, “@AaronRodgers12: You did it and it was spectacular! See you very soon. Love, your celebrity crush”
