Time recently released their 140 “Best Twitter Feeds” covering everything from authors to businesses and celebrities. I’ve compiled a list of my own featuring the most captivating celebs on Twitter!
For a good laugh follow:
@Conanobrien: When you only send out a single tweet a day, you better make it count—and Conan really does. Sample any one of his tweets and you’ll quickly realize why America jumped on Team Conan.
@mindykaling: A woman of many talents, the actress, writer, producer, and director writes tweets with the same awesome sense of humor she scripts for The Office. Her witty tweets often name-drop big celeb names, making them that much more amusing.
@chelseahandler: If you watch Chelsea Lately, you know Chelsea’s style of blunt, loudmouth humor. Her same comedic tone flows in her tweets, making her tweets and TwitPics irresistible.
@biggsjason: He may be the only non-comedian on my list, but that doesn’t mean Jason Biggs can’t hang with the big dogs. The American Pie actor constantly sends out hilarious tweets, that are, if anything, borderline crude. Bigger risks mean bigger payoffs.
For the best "WTF" tweets:
@jamesfranco: It’s rare when Franco tweets something I actually understand. Usually it’s a TwitPic or a video of a random shot or clip with some artistic title. You never know what you’re going to get with Franco and that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
@kanyewest: Kanye West is a mixed bag. You get links to new singles, YouTube videos, and an assortment of random TwitPics. But mostly you get the pleasure of West’s provocative mouth spouting out awesome one-liners in 140 characters or less.
@rainnwilson: The Office actor, known primarily for his role as Dwight, is equally hilarious and bizarre in the Twitter world. Wilson unleashes deep thoughts, random tidbits, and all around fascinating tweets.
For the best inside scoop:
@rzrachelzoe: Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe tweets daily fashion tips, pictures that “Shut it down,” and a platform to answer any fans with fashion emergencies.
@bravoandy: For all things Bravo TV, Andy Cohen is your man. He keeps followers updated on everything Housewives, Top Chef, and Watch What Happens Live.
@celcafe: Want the latest and greatest celebrity news? We update constantly throughout the day to bring you the inside celebrity scoop.
@ryanseacrest: The man with a million jobs really knows his celebrity happenings. Follow Seacrest for backstage looks at American Idol, interview clips from his radio show, and the latest celebrity news.
For the best all-around tweeters:
@tomhanks: Tom Hanks on Twitter is that same likeable guy everyone falls in love with at the movies. He’s down to earth, charming, and has a great sense of humor.
@LeoDiCaprio: Once in a while, celebrities use Twitter to promote some good in the world instead of making the rest of us super jealous with Red Carpet TwitPics. Leonardo DiCaprio is equally serious about his philanthropic endeavors as he is about his acting craft. Expect dozens of tweets promoting great causes from an actor much more than just a pretty face.
@justinbieber: Love or hate Justin Bieber, but either way you can’t say a word against Bieber for being a Twitter pro. The singer finds a way to juice Twitter for all it’s worth—promoting new music, delivering some deep thoughts, and most importantly connecting with fans. You feel Bieber’s gratitude every time he hits that retweet button or responds to a fan, single-handedly making every tween girl’s dreams come true.
