Shockwaves, or more like "I told you so's" spread across the blogosphere regarding the end of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' marriage. Okay, so maybe the only person who was really shocked about this was Kris Humphries, who reportedly learned about the divorce on TMZ. TMZ?!!? How does Harvey Levin know about your divorce before you do? Oh, that's right, he's a Lawyer.
Before we could begin making morphed pictures of the bun in the oven, the gas was shut off. My nine year old niece said, "Wow! It didn't even last a month!" ( She was a little off, but not by much.) My mother and sister saw this coming during the previews for the wedding, and my followers, friends and family didn't give it much hope either. Khloe and Lamar still seem to be going strong. Yaaaay! Kourtney and Scott...? Many of us are still scratching our heads over that one, but I thought Kim after investing $10,000,000 dollars on her dream wedding, would have stayed married long enough for the ink to dry on the certificate.
Since this is an article about Celebrity Tweets, I am going to share some of the tweets from celebrities on this subject:
Roots drummer Quest Love, for example, tweeted: “. . . Wait, Kim Kardashian got married?”
Chapelle Show Creator Neil Brennan tweeted, "Kim Kardashian fails to pick up 2nd season of her own marriage."
Samantha Ronson said, “Wait, so it was actually a real wedding?”
Quest Love later tweeted, “Can he change his name back to ‘C’hris now?”
Even Time magazine took a jab saying,“ ‘Husbands’ — This season’s most fleeting fall fashion, according to Kim Kardashian.”
Not all celebrity Twitter users have been unkind. Kelly Osbourne sent a supportive “@KimKardashian thinking of you stay strong don’t listen to the haters listen to your heart! xoxo.”
Though Kim Kardashian's family has avoided making comments,
"Our sister is going through a difficult time but we're a close family and are sticking together like always. Kim, we love you.
We appreciate everyone’s kindness and support."
"I just want to thank all of our amazing fans for your unconditional love and support. My sister is going through a very difficult time and your kindness right now means the world to all of us. Kim, we love you more than anything."
Kris Humphries also released a statement to TMZ about Kim filing for divorce saying, "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce ... I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work."
Kim Kardashian released a statement to E! News regarding her divorce.
"After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage," she said. "I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."
Caprice Crane tweeted: "If you are genuinely suprised about Kim Kardashian getting divorced, I need to tell you something about Santa Claus."
Bevy Smith tweeted: "I'm devastated. I haven't even finished watching the marathon of Kim K and Kris' nuptials and it's already over, way to ruin a cliff hanger!"
I'm with you Bev. Neither did I.
Kim, since you've made me and millions of others a part of your family, I want to say this: Marriage isn't about thinking alike, as much as it's about thinking together. Think it over. XOXO -Debbie, or is that Kebbie?
