Celebs Beefing Up with Steroids?
Everyone has heard of the scandal surrounding professional athletes and steroids. But now, some celebrities are appearing as users of the drugs.
Hip hop artists Timbaland, 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, and more have been cited as steroid-users in an Albany, N.Y. investigation to determine which doctors are illegally prescribing drugs to their patients, The New York Times reported.
Fortunately for the celebs, they are not the ones in trouble with the law, since steroids are not illegal if prescribed. According to FOX News, the people that handed out the drugs should be worried, "For now, officials are focusing on the doctors, pharmacists, and clinics providing the drugs."
Supposedly, steroids work as an anti-aging product, which would explain their appeal to the entertainers. But, the drugs are intended for people who have physical limitations for developing.
If the steroids are not prescribed accurately, experts warn that they could cause serious physical and even psychological effects.
