Over the weekend, Canadian recording artist Celine Dion gave birth to twin boys at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Dion’s publicist has informed PEOPLE Magazine that the singer and her 5-day-old children have headed home from the hospital.
“Celine and the twins went home last night,” the publicist told PEOPLE. “Everyone’s doing great. They are happy to be home. Three of her sisters and her mom are there helping out.” The publication has added that Dion’s husband, Rene Angelil, and their nine-year-old son, Rene-Charles, are also lending a helping hand.
After Dion gave birth on Saturday, Dr. Ronald Ackerman held a press conference to announce that the delivery went as expected and that the two twins, whose names have yet to be announced, were born with “a good amount of hair.”
Dion’s rep has told E! Online that the twins, who each currently weigh five pounds, were declared healthy enough to leave St. Mary’s Medical Center after being kept in an incubator since they were born on Saturday.
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer was admitted to the hospital ahead of time to prevent early delivery, and she gave birth via C-section at 11:11 and 11:12 a.m. on October 23.
