Character of L Word to Die This Premiere **SPOILERS**

In an upcoming season premiere of The L Word, a show about a circle of lesbian friends and lovers, writers for the show have planned to kill off one of its major characters in its sixth, and final, season.

The victim is Jenny Schecter, Showtime has disclosed. Jenny, a would-be writer and accomplished two-timer, has long been a fan favorite - a favorite character to hate.

The episode, which will air January 18, starts the dead-festivities early, with Jenny's character being found dead in a swimming pool. Accident . . . murder . . . who knows? Aside from the actual death, fans will have to wait until January to find out exactly why the character died.

Although she'll be slain in the first episode, the character won't be absent from the final season of the show. The season will be heavy with flashbacks of Jenny, played by Mia Kirshner, which is expected to lead up to the sequences that culminate in her death.
