Charlie Sheen Arrested for Domestic Violence Against Wife

Motion picture and television actor Charlie Sheen was arrested Friday on charges of domestic violence.

According to People.com, “‘The Two and a Half Men’ star was arrested at 11:20 a.m. for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief, according to a spokesperson for the Pitkin County Sheriff's Department in Aspen, Colo.”  

“Carlos Irwin Estevez, also known as the actor Charles I. Sheen, was brought to the Pitkin County Colorado Jail for booking and incarceration following his arrest by the Aspen Police Department,” Pitkin County Sheriff's Office patrol director Jeff Lumsden said in a statement.

As a result of the arrest, Sheen, 44, had to spend Christmas 2009 in jail following the alleged scuffle with his third wife, real estate investor Brooke Mueller, whom Sheen married in 2008.

As for the “Hot Shots!” star’s personal life, Sheen has a rather checkered romantic past as he has had relationships with actress Kelly Preston, before she married actor John Travolta, as well as with known pornographic actress Ginger Lynn and former pornographic actress Heather Hunter.

As for Sheen’s marriages, prior to Mueller in 1995, Sheen married Donna Peele, but the union lasted only a little more than a year, and in 2002, Sheen and actress Denise Richards tied the knot. Yet, Richards, while still pregnant with Lola, filed for divorce from Sheen in March 2005 and the divorce was official on Nov. 30, 2006.

Despite Sheen’s romantic merry-go-round, he has three daughters. Cassandra Jade Estevez, who was born on Dec. 12, 1984, whose mother is Sheen’s then girlfriend Paula Profit. In addition, Richards and Sheen’s marriage resulted in two daughters, Sam J. Sheen-Estevez, who was born on March 9, 2004 and Lola Rose Sheen-Estevez, who was born on June 1, 2005.
