Cherie Currie Praises Dakota Fanning

Dakota Fanning has it together. She’s polite, she’s mature, and she’s professional – take note Lindsay Lohan. And she has Cherie Currie singing her praises.

At the New York premiere for The Runaways, Currie told MTV:

"I just don't think they could have found anyone better [to play me]. She nailed it. I'm her biggest fan. Dakota has her stuff way more together than I ever did. She handles fame beautifully. To her, it's just another day.”

Although Fanning plays Currie on screen, there’s little the two have in common. Fanning said growing up in 1975 is very different from today.

“Cherie kind of grew up with no restrictions or rules, kind of figuring it out for herself. It's kind of different for me. I will never get to have that experience, so I kind of got to have through the film.”

Unlike most teenagers, Fanning gets paid to rebel.
