Chewbacca will guest star on ‘Glee’

It has been reported that Glee has gotten Gloria Estefan and Ricky Martin to guest star on the hit TV show, but now Glee can add one more name to that list of celebrity guest stars.

Internet rumors can now be confirmed, Chewbacca of Star Wars fame is set to guest star on the hit TV show.

MTV reported that Matthew Morrison confirmed the rumor on the late night show, Jimmy Kimmel Live! Morrison said that the show called up George Lucas and asked if Chewbacca could guest star. There is only one man that is allowed to play Chewbacca and he lives in Northern California. Lucas agreed and then the man was flown in to play Chewbacca on the Glee set.

Of course, no details could be relieved on how Chewbacca will play into the Glee episode, but co-star Harry Shum Jr. revealed to AOL TV that Chewbacca may appear in Artie’s dream.

The cast reportedly did not get any pictures with the Star Wars star during filming. So the cast then had the actor flown back to the set for some picture taking. The pictures of the cast with Chewbacca can be seen on Twitter.

No word on if Chewbacca may be signing on to the hit TV show.
