Chiefs Cut Johnson
The Kansas City Chiefs have cut running back Larry Johnson.
Just a day after his suspension ended, the Kansas City Chiefs have cut Pro Bowl running back Larry Johnson, reports USA Today. The decision to cut Johnson stems from Twitter posts he made two weeks ago, some of which insulted head coach Todd Haley and others that contained homophobic slurs.
Johnson has spent his entire 7-year career with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to FOXSports.com. While once considered one of the NFL elite running backs, his numbers have gone down significantly in recent years. It remains to be seen if an NFL team will pick him up this season.
