Chinese Democracy Release Date Set
If the reports from Billboard are true, then it will be 15 years to the day from the release of their last album that Guns N' Roses will release their latest effort, Chinese Democracy.
The release date of the new album, which, in its development, has seen every member of the band but Axl Rose either be fired or quit (with two not with the band any longer), will be on Nov. 23.
The album will be available in Best Buy stores on the 23rd, which is a bit crazy because it's a Sunday, and not the typical Tuesday when albums are released (Kanye West's new effort comes out on November 25).
The new singles off the album have received positive reviews, especially "Sheckler's Revenge," which you can play on Rock Band 2.
The second single, "If the World," can be heard on the end credits of Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe's new film, Body of Lies.
And the funniest thing about the release of this album is that Dr. Pepper made an announcement at the beginning of 2008 that they will mail a can of their soda to everyone in the United States if GnR released Chinese Democracy within the calender year.
Boo yeah, free pop.
