Chris Brown and Rihanna Record Duet

Chris Brown and his girlfriend Rihanna have just recorded a duet together.

According to the New York Daily News, R&B star Chris Brown, 19, has just recorded a duet with his girlfriend, fellow pop star Rihanna, 21. This duet comes less than a week after Brown was charged with two felonies for allegedly assaulting Rihanna in a Los Angeles park.

According to CNN, a source close to producer Polow Da Don confirmed the duo went into the studio together.

Da Don said in a statement, "My heart goes out to both Chris and Rihanna for what has happened in the past. They are both great artists to work with, and I wish them well."

Radio stations have kicked Brown from their rotations. Fellow artist T-Pain, who recorded the song "Freeze" with Brown, has offered an alternate version of the song with Brown removed from it.

Both Oprah Winfrey and Tyra Banks have dedicated episodes of their talk shows to the incident. Winfrey said of Rihanna returning to Brown, "If you go back with a man who hits you, it is because you don't feel you're worthy of being with a man who won't."

The alleged assault may have been initiated by a text message from Brown's manager, Tina Lewis, 39, to Brown, which Rihanna discovered.

Brown is due to be arraigned on April 6. He is eligible for up to 4 years and 8 months in prison if convicted of all charges.
