Chris Brown released some anger on Tuesday in the green room after a Good Morning America interview, during which there was little discussion about the "Yeah 3x" singer's new album that he wanted to promote. However, during his appearance on BET’s 106 & Park, Brown apologized for his blowup.

"First of all, I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really disappointed in my actions, because I was disappointed in the way I acted," Brown said on Wednesday night.

According to People, Brown admits that he didn’t realize co-host Robin Roberts was going to ask about the assault against ex-girlfriend Rihanna.

Apparently, Brown and ABC had agreed on talking points for the interview, which was supposed to be about his new album.

"When the interview proceeded, I was thrown off," he said. "I felt like, OK, they told us this to get us on the show and exploit me. I took it very, very hard."

But Brown wasn’t the only one who took it “very hard,” according to MSNBC. Brown had urged fans not to start an online war with ABC or Roberts.

“Do not send any threats, anything like that, I’ve been hearing things on Twitter — we need to take a stand and focus on the more positive things in life,” he urged.
