Chris Brown is Billboard's Artist of the Year

RandB star feels "insecure" about winning

Chris Brown has had an amazing 2008 and it's still only getting better

The Associated Press reports that Billboard has just named him the top artist of 2008. Brown won artist of the year at last month's American Music Awards, as well as two other trophies.

He also won the Billboard title in 2006. Brown is humbled by all of his awards and admits he's still not used to it.

"I've has a good year but I still feel like a little insecure in those parts. I'm like, 'There's little ol' me getting an award'- that's incredible," he said.

He won the top artist honor by how he placed in rankings such as album sales, digital downloads, radio airplay, and Internet streams. Lil Wayne came in at No. 2 and Rihanna was No. 3. Rihanna is also dating Brown, who co-wrote her smash "Disturbia".

Flo Rida's "Low" was 2008's top song. "Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis was No. 2 and "No One" by Alicia Keys was No. 3. Three songs in the top 10 belonged to Brown: "With You", "Forever", and his duet with Jordin Sparks "No Air".
