Chris Brown Faces Sentencing
Chris Brown will be sentenced Wednesday in Los Angeles for attacking his former girlfriend, Rihanna.
In June, Brown reached a plea deal with L. A. prosecutors that is expected to limit his sentence to probation only with no jail time. The deal says that Brown would serve five years' probation and take a year long domestic violence prevention class.
Brown has also been ordered to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna for the next five years. If Brown had not reached the plea deal he would have been facing a maximum of five years in prison.
Brown was arrested in February for allegedly beating and threatening Rihanna while driving home from a pre-Grammy party. L.A. County Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg will announce Brown's sentence Wednesday afternoon.
