Chris Brown Finally Speaks

Chris Brown issued a statement saying he is "sorry and saddened" over the incident on February 7.

Chris Brown released a statement Sunday through his publicist, Michael Sitrick, expressing his remorse about what happened and saying he is seeking help.

"Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God's help, to emerging a better person," Brown said in the statement, according to the Associated Press.

Brown also said that many of the reports circulating about the incident are wrong, although he wont provide details "until the legal issues are resolved." Also speaking about alleged posts he has made on Web sites such as Facebook or Myspace, Brown denies having said anything on the incident.

"I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. These posts or writings under my name are frauds," he said.

This is the first statement Brown has made since the February 7 incident that reportedly happened against his girlfriend, Rihanna. He has been out on a $50,000 bail since February 8, after turning himself in.
