Chris Brown Lays It Down

As he faces accusations and, potentially, charges for allegedly beating ex-girlfriend and fellow singer Rihanna, tunesmith Chris Brown issued a video response to his critics, reports MTV.

The video, a 30-second clip shot at NBA player Shaquille O'Neal's house with technical assistance from rapper Bow Wow, is a direct address to the camera, in which Brown downplays the allegations of his attack on Rihanna while offering fans a preview of his forthcoming album.

In the clip, Brown calls his critics "haters" while assuring his fans the new album, "Graffiti," will be coming out soon and will contain a variety of different styles, reports MSNBC.

According to MTV, Brown mentions in the video that fans should expect a single to be issued this summer in preparation for the release of "Graffiti."
