Chris Brown Makes a Comeback
Back in February 2009, Chris Brown was involved in a violent incident with his ex-girlfriend, "Rude Boy" singer Rihanna. After the pre-Grammy incident, Brown's career was mired in a downward spiral to the point where some radio stations wouldn’t play his music anymore.
In the past year, Brown has had little success musically. In December 2009, Chris Brown released Graffiti, his third studio album. It is his lowest selling album to date. Two singles were released from Graffiti, both failing to reach the top ten on the pop charts.
This month, Brown’s musical slump has ended. His break-up track, “Deuces,” appeared in the number one spot on Billboard‘s R&B/Hip-Hop singles chart this week. “Deuces” is featured on Chris Brown and Tyga's mixtape, Fan of a Fan.
Brown also achieved another number one this week in the form of his new film Takers, which appeared at the top of the box office and also stars rapper T.I.
