Chris Brown Posts Bail for Assault Allegations

After posting $50,000 bail money, Chris Brown was released from jail after being arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman whose identity is not being released. Brown, 19, was arrested late Sunday night after a woman called police and told them that he had physically hurt her. Police said that the woman, who will remain anonymous due to domestic abuse victim confidentiality, showed physical signs of abuse, leading police to arrest Brown who turned himself in as news reached the Grammys. Brown's girlfriend, Rihanna, also canceled her scheduled Grammy appearance, but neither side is saying anything about the allegations. Las Angeles police are not releasing the tape of the 911 call, and charges of domestic violence have not as of yet been officially filed.
