Chris Brown to Serve Time with Hard Labor
On Wednesday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg pushed back Chris Brown's sentencing until August 27, according to Reuters.
Brown, 20, pleaded guilty to beating singer Rihanna, 21, in February, the night before the Grammy Awards.
The sentencing was pushed back so that the judge could confirm that Brown would be doing 1,400 hours of community labor, like cleaning graffiti or roadside cleanup, instead of community service, according to New York Daily News.
Brown will also be on probation for five years, serve six months of community labor and undergo 52 weeks of domestic violence counseling. He will probably serve his labor sentence in his home state of Virginia, according to the Associated Press.
Brown publicly apologized about the attack, by posting a video on his web site. In the video he says, "I saw firsthand what uncontrolled rage can do. I have sought and am continuing to seek help to ensure what occurred in February can never happen again."
