Healthy fraternal twins born via IVF surrogate

American Idol season five finalist Chris Daughtry and his wife Deanna have welcomed fraternal twins into their family, the singer’s official website has announced.

Baby girl Adalynn Rose was born first, weighing a healthy 6 lbs, 5 oz., at 11:06 AM. Noah James then arrived at 11.25 AM, weighing 5 lbs, 5 oz.

In a statement posted on his official website, Daughtry published this message: “Our family is overwhelmed with joy by these two precious gifts from God... The babies are both healthy and resting. Thanks to everyone for their love and prayers.”

The latest addition to the Daughtry brood was conceived by gestational surrogacy via an IVF surrogate, he also confirmed on his website.

The couple, who have been married for ten years, have two other children, 14-year-old Hannah from Deanna’s previous marriage and adopted son Griffin, 12.
