Chris Noth to Star in "Sex and the City" Movie
Chris Noth has been confirmed to star as Mr. Big in the upcoming Sex and the City feature film, the role he previously played on the HBO series.
The film's creator said in a statement, "There is no need for funeral arrangements," adding, "I assure you that Mr. Big is a very big part of the Sex and the City movie."
"While I have not spoken to him myself, Chris Noth assures me that Mr. Big is alive and well and ready to report to the set in September."
Noth will be in Law and Order: Criminal Intent at the same time the film shoots this fall.
Sarah Jessica Parker and the rest of the main cast from the show -- Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Kim Cattrall -- are all on board for the silver screen adaptation. No word yet on whether other supporting players from the show will appear.
The film, which is being produced by New Line Cinema, is scheduled to begin shooting next month in the Manhattan area.
