Chris Weitz could return for Breaking Dawn
The "Twilight" franchise based on the books by Stephenie Meyer is only in its sophomore release of the series and the buzz is booming. Vampires are everywhere; books, television, movies and the hype that comes with them all started with the series of books. The new generation of teen has fallen in love with these sexy vampires, and fans are being driven wild by the young actors who play the characters in the film roles.
The first film "Twilight' brought in a cool $380 million worldwide and was directed by Catherine Hardwicke. The second film "New Moon" which is set to be released on November 20, has already been brewing from hype and praise due to its fantastic CGI- effects.
"New Moon" is one of the most anticipated films of the year, and its trailer and clips that are being released to press the movie are driving fans nuts. The man behind the camera for this film is Chris Weitz.
The director for the third film "Eclipse" has already been picked, and that is David Slade. But who will direct the fourth and last installment in the series "Breaking Dawn"? It very well could be Chris Weitz, but nothing is confirmed yet.
According to MTV.com, Weitz said that it might turn out to be him who directs the fourth film. "No official offer has been made. The fans have been enthusiastic about the ['New Moon'] footage and the trailer, and the studio responds to that by feeling good about me" as stated by Weitz.
