Christian Bale "Non-Event"
Director says Bale blowup was unimportant.
The profanity laden tirade by Terminator Salvation actor Christian Bale hit the Internet on Monday. It has since become a hot topic of the tabloids and media, but Bruce Franklin, the assistant director of the film, proclaims that Bale is a "consummate professional" and that the depravity of the scene being filmed may have had something to do with Bale's snapping.
He also told TMX that the episode was a "non-event" and that, in his experience with Bale, he has always been very professional and serious about his craft. He also added that Bale had been under imminent pressure from the intense promotion schedule for The Dark Knight and said, "Christian is a method actor and was immersed in the scene. . . ."
