Christie Brinkley Says Goodbye to Husband Peter Cook

After 10 years of marriage, Christie Brinkley says goodbye to her husband Peter Cook. They have been seperated since July 10th and now it will be official.

What is said to be the main reason of the legal split was the affair that Cook had with 18-year-old Diana Bianchi, whom he hired to work for him. Brinkley found out about this affair by Bianchi's stepfather,officer Brian Plattof the Southampton Village Police in June.

After the news hit the press, Cook paniced and told the media how sorry he was and how much he adored his wife. " I love my wife. I have loved her since the day I met her. Please ... I love her. For a lifetime, I've tried to prove how much I love her," He explained to New York columnist, Cindy Adams, "This is an aberration. I'm sorry. I'm contrite. I'm stupid. Foolish. No excuse."

Cook also has said that he was very disapointed on Brinkley going through with the divorce. He was hoping that they could work things out and continue with their marriage.

This will be Brinkley's fourth failed marriage. Her first marraige was to artist Jean-Fran?ois Allaux, which lasted from 1973 to 1981. Her second marriage to singer Billy Joel, started in 1985 and ended in 1994, where she married developer Richard Taubman in the same year, but ended in 1995.

She and Cook have a daughter Sailer who is 8-years-old.
