Replacing Alison Haislip, Christina Milian is the new Social Media Correspondent on NBC’s television show The Voice.
According to Lost Remote, Milian’s role will be very similar to Haislip’s.
Milian’s role is to “bridge the gap between on-air and online.” From “The Voice Social Media Room,” the singer will engage fans and connect them to artists and coaches via Facebook, Twitter, NBC.com, and NBC Live.
Yahoo! OMG! reported that Paul Telegdy, NBC’s president of alternative programming, thinks that Christina Milian was the right choice for Haislip’s replacement.
“Christina’s extensive musical background and widespread recognition make her the right choice for the role of Social Media Correspondent on The Voice. Her experience as a singer will provide a comfort level to our artists when they speak to her about the ins and outs of the competition,” Telegdy said in a statement.
Christina Milian will be joining a powerful team including host, Carson Daly, as well as singing coaches Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, and Adam Levine.
The show will debut after the Superbowl, on February 5.
