Chuck Lorre, the producer of Two and a Half Men who enraged Charlie Sheen by taking digs at the troubled actor on vanity cards, has reportedly held internal meetings about continuing the show with Rob Lowe as a possible replacement.

Sources close to Lorre have informed TMZ that the longtime television producer and executives from Warner Bros. have discussed various options and composed a short list of replacements for Sheen’s character.

Lowe’s agent at William Morris-Endeavor has reportedly been contacted to discuss the possibility of joining the highly-rated sitcom. While the Golden Globe-nominated actor could serve as a suitable replacement, there are two roadblocks that may prevent him from signing on the dotted line.

Lowe currently portrays the character of Chris Traeger on NBC’s Parks and Recreation. To go along with his starring role on the Emmy-nominated comedy series, he has known the Sheen family for decades and was a high school classmate of the former Two and a Half Men star.

When approached for comment about replacing Sheen, Warner Bros. spokesman Paul McGuire told The New York Post, “No decisions have been made.”
