Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy Engaged!

Wedding bells will soon be ringing for Claire Danes, 29, and her British boyfriend, Hugh Dancy, who have recently confirmed to Usmagazine.com that they are engaged. The happy couple have been dating since meeting on the set of the 2007 film, Evening.

Dancy, 33, described the ideal girl to Us at the NYC premiere of Confessions of a Shopaholic, in which he stars alongside Isla Fisher.

"Someone who's intelligent, somebody who makes me laugh. I know people always say a good sense of humor, but they're usually lying. Somebody who kind of has an independent life and ambition."

At the Sundance Film Festival, Dancy had mentioned the possibility of working with his future bride again in another movie.

"Never say never," he said. "There's no list of people I wouldn't work with, up to and including Claire. Obviously, I respect her as an actress immensely!"

Plans for their big day have yet to be disclosed.
