Clay Aiken Enters Fatherhood!

People magazine has confirmed that the American Idol Season 2 runner-up is expecting a baby. The mother is Aiken's executive producer for the last two years and close friend, Grammy winner Jaymes Foster. She is the sister of music mogul, David Foster, who's been friends with Aiken since his AI days.

"It is true Clay is the father. She was artificially inseminated by Clay. She's due in August," a rep for David Foster told People Wednesday.

TMZ reports that the two will live together in L.A. and that Aiken will be actively raising the child with Foster.

"[Jaymes] looks great, glowing and very happy. She and Clay have been good friends for a long time," the rep told The Insider.

Reps for Aiken currently cannot be reached for comment.

According to Access Hollywood, 29-year-old Aiken recently spoke with Billy Bush on the Billy Bush Show, where they spoke jokingly about the always-hot topic surrounding Aiken: his sexuality.

"Does it play to your advantage to leave it as a mystery?" Bush asked.

"Does it play to my advantage?" Aiken laughed. "I don't really know. Maybe so, I don't know."

He says it was difficult when he began his singing career, but after a while, Aiken told Bush, he would say, "Forget this. . . . This is not who I am, this is not about me, what I want to do is be a singer, want to be an entertainer, and forget all that stuff."

According to E! Online, Jaymes Foster has worked with Aiken on his last couple albums. The 50-year-old producer has appeared on musical reality shows such as Popstars and Star Search.
