Clinton Wins TX, OH, RI - Stays Alive
Hillary Rodham Clinton lives to see another day after victories in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island Tuesday night -- for now.
Clinton held off the onslaught from Barack Obama, the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination, and seems to have stretched the nomination process for months.
The next "big" primary is Pennsylvania in seven weeks.
Many delegates, including the majority of those in Texas, have yet to be distributed to each candidate, so it is impossible to know how large Obama's lead is at this point.
Meanwhile, Clinton, Wednesday morning, hinted at the possibility of sharing the Democratic presidential ticket with Obama, of course with herself at the top.
Obama played down his losses Wednesday, explaining that he still holds the lead in the delegate count.
In the process of winning Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island, Clinton halted Obama's lengthy winning streak.
Both candidates made the rounds on the morning talk shows, with Clinton saying that she should be the presidential nominee.
"That may be where this is headed, but of course we have to decide who is on the top of the ticket. I think the people of Ohio very clearly said that it should be me."
